Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of CivicDeepDive. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.
Last updated September 12, 2026
1. What CivicDeepDive is
CivicDeepDive is a civic transparency tool. It reads public meeting minutes, agendas, and resolutions and turns them into plain-English summaries, risk flags, and suggested follow-up actions.
CivicDeepDive is not a law firm, an accounting firm, a news organization of record, or a government agency. Nothing on the site is legal, financial, or investment advice.
2. Your account
- You must provide an accurate email address and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- One person per account. Do not share credentials with others.
- You may close your account at any time from the account portal or by contacting us.
3. Documents you upload
- Only upload documents that are public records or that you otherwise have the right to submit.
- Do not upload confidential, sealed, privileged, or personally sensitive material.
- Your uploads stay private to your account unless you mark a report public.
- You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant us permission to store and process it so we can generate your reports.
4. Accuracy and AI limitations
Summaries, dollar figures, risk tiers, and anomaly flags are produced by automated analysis and can be incomplete or wrong. Always verify against the official record before acting, publishing, or making a public claim.
We link to the official source document wherever one is available so you can check the original.
5. Plans, billing, and refunds
- The Citizen plan is free and includes three document analyses per calendar month.
- Deep Dive Pro is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, and renews automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from the account portal. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues through the period you already paid for.
- Refund requests can be submitted from the account portal and are reviewed case by case.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not harass, threaten, or defame anyone using the outreach tools.
- Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the platform's data as your own product.
- Do not attempt to access other members' private reports or accounts.
- Do not use the platform to break any law or to interfere with public proceedings.
7. Termination
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or that put the platform or other members at risk. Where practical, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data.
8. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CivicDeepDive is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be announced on the site and, for subscribers, by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
