Data Retention & Deletion

What we keep, how long we keep it, and how to get rid of it.

Retention at a glance

  • Uploaded packets and their reports: kept while your account is open, or until you delete them.
  • Action items, alert rules, and outreach drafts: kept until you delete them or close your account.
  • Group memberships and connection requests: kept until you leave the group or close your account.
  • Billing and invoice records: retained as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account closes.
  • Contact form messages: kept while we work through your request, then cleared.
  • Newsletter signups: kept until you unsubscribe.

Deleting a single report

Open the report from your portal and delete it. The stored PDF, the generated summary, and its resolutions are removed together. Action items you already saved from it remain until you delete them.

Closing your account

Request account deletion through the contact form. We remove your profile, uploads, reports, saved items, and directory listing. Anonymized billing records are retained for accounting, and any report you deliberately marked public may remain visible without your name attached.

Public records in the civic feed

Meetings imported automatically from agency records systems are government records, not personal data. They stay on the platform as an archive and are not tied to any member account.

Backups

Deleted content can persist in encrypted database backups for a short rolling window before those backups expire. It is not accessible in the product during that window.
